2016 Junior Golf Scholarship
Foothills Community Foundation is pleased to announce the 2016 recipient of the Junior Golf Development Fund Scholarship. According to Lujack Orr, Chairman of the scholarship committee, “This is the first scholarship of its kind offered by the Foundation, and we are very proud that Emily Nicole Smith is the inaugural recipient of this award”.
Miss Smith, who is a homeschool graduate will study nursing in the fall at Anderson University. Emily explains that “golf has been part of my earliest memories”. Coach Holden added that, unlike many team sports, the game of golf can be enjoyed throughout the course of one’s lifetime.
