At Foothills Community Foundation, we are proud to share the highlights of a remarkable fiscal year—one that capped off our 25th Anniversary with record-setting impact and renewed inspiration.

A Banner Year for Grantmaking

From July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025, Foothills Community Foundation distributed more than $6.5 million in grants—the largest annual total in our history. This represents an 84% increase in the amount of grant funding and a 35% increase in the number of individual grants compared to the previous year. In total, since our founding in 1999, we’ve distributed more than $36.6 million in grants supporting organizations and causes across Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens counties.

As President Dean Woods noted, “At its core, a community foundation is a grantmaking organization. The more we grow, the more we can give back—and most of that giving stays right here at home.”

Honoring Tomorrow’s Leaders: 2025 Scholarship Recipients

We’re also proud to recognize this year’s 31 local scholarship recipients, awarded more than $66,000 in scholarships to pursue their dreams at colleges and universities across the region and beyond. These scholarships honor loved ones and community leaders and reflect the generosity of our fundholders and the promise of the next generation.
