Foothills Community Foundation is pleased to present the 2019 Anderson Country Club Dee Watkins Endowed Scholarship to Ashley Heard.  Miss Heard, a T. L. Hanna High School graduate, excelled as a varsity golfer, cheerleader and softball player in high school.  Ashley was a member of the National Honor Society, the Beta Club and the Key Club at Hanna. She will attend Clemson University as a business/marketing major.

Jane Mudd, chairman of the Foundation Grants Review Committee explained that the Foundation is proud to be able assist Miss Heard with her college tuition, noting that the scholarship is made possible through an endowment established by the former Anderson Country Club.

The head golf professional of the former Anderson Country Club, Dee Watkins, was also on hand to congratulate Miss Heard along with Coach Bobby Holden and Foundation board chairman Lujack Orr.
