Foothills Community Foundation is pleased to announce the 2014 recipients of the Jonny A. Lyons Memorial Scholarship. A bequest from Mrs. John Joseph Lyons provides scholarship assistance to descendants of former Orr-Lyons Mill employees. Her legacy will live on in perpetuity through the Lyons Memorial Scholarship Fund. Each recipient receives a $2,000 scholarship from Foothills Community Foundation.

The four recipients of the Lyons Scholarship for 2014 are Tamia Alexis Glover, Thomas Warner Roberts, Keri Lynn Rousey and Reagen H. Welch. Miss Glover is a recent graduate of Belton-Honea Path High School who will attend Furman University. Mr. Roberts, who graduated from T. L. Hanna High School will enter Clemson University. Miss Rousey and Miss Welch are both recent graduates of Crescent High School. Miss Rousey will attend Winthrop University, while Miss Welch will continue her education at Southern Wesleyan University.
