Foundation President Dean Woods welcomed Tracy Bowie, Executive Director of Foothills Alliance, along with Annette Caudell, Administrative Support, to their new offices in our Community Building in August. Ms. Bowie explained that relocating administrative offices has freed up clinical office space for the Alliance’s Child Advocacy Center and Sexual Trauma Center, which will remain in their current location.

Almost 15 years ago, Foothills Community Foundation embarked on a philanthropic partnership with area non-profit organizations seeking accessible and affordable office space.  The resulting collaboration created the opportunity for local not-for-profit organizations to lease office space at very reasonable long term rates, allowing them to use valuable donated funds to go towards the mission of their organizations.

Today the Foundation’s Community Building at 907 North Main Street in Anderson is home to the Foundation, the American Red Cross, the Anderson County Board of Education, the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce, Big Brothers Big Sisters, GAMAC, and our newest partner – Foothills Alliance administrative offices.
