Dr. Evans Whitaker presents the University’s Alumni Service Award to Dean Woods
Anderson University has named R. Dean Woods as this year’s recipient of the Alumni Service Award. The award, presented at the Founders Day Convocation, is given to an alumnus of outstanding and unselfish service to his alma mater, community and to humanity.
In a subsequent meeting, the Anderson University Board of Trust conveyed the title of Vice President Emeritus to Woods, who played an integral role in the development efforts for the Thrift Library, the new student center, the creation and advancement of the Rocky River Conservancy and other transformational projects. Mr. Woods was named President of Foothills Community Foundation in January.
