Foothills Community Foundation is pleased to announce the 2013 recipients of the Jonny A. Lyons Memorial Scholarship. A bequest from Mrs. John Joseph Lyons provides scholarship assistance to descendants of former Orr-Lyons Mill employees. Her legacy will live on in perpetuity through the Lyons Memorial Scholarship Fund.
The two recipients of the Lyons Scholarship for 2013 are Savana Jordan Coffee and Mason Bradley Blackwell. Miss Coffee and Mr. Blackwell are both recent graduates of Crescent High School. Each recipient receives a $2,000 scholarship from Foothills Community Foundation. Miss Coffee will attend Tri County Technical College in the health education program, while Mr. Blackwell will pursue a degree in architecture from Clemson University.
